Night Kitchen Too

Back in Production!

Night Kitchen Too (NK2) was created by Joe with Gary Magwood and Marvin Tucker to provide opportunities for musicians and poets from the Greater Quinte Region to perform for an attentive, supportive audience at the Pinnacle Playhouse in downtown Belleville. It is not-for-profit. Proceeds from concerts get distributed amongst the performers. Audiences can expect to see seasoned professionals present their latest efforts and, at the same time, offer mentoring/modeling for performers whose experience on stage may be their first in public. Each event will include a “featured performer,” a well-developed artist with a limited audience who could, with more exposure, develop a professional career. Informal jams that follow the stage show enable all the evening’s talent to “mix it up” and encourage audience members to sing along, dance or just close their eyes and connect with the sound. In addition, this community of performers not only provides supportive, mentoring and experimental creativity, but perhaps most importantly, great entertainment for the audience. Now, post-pandemic, NK2 is back in production and managed by Alexandra Bell.

Co-hosts: Alexandra Bell and Nathan Mahaffy
